Greetings one and all, the LRDG is back in the studio. In this "special" episode the guys are joined for serious game discussion, karaoke singing and puns galore by the the former member of the Dweller's Below Podcast, the Kraken/ That Ol' Egg himself...  Chris Cousins! 

We briefly discuss "Magical Cards," gaming companies that actually support events based around their games and 80's music before getting into our main topics. We mourn the death of Warhammer Fantasy and talk about one of its successors... Kings Of Wars. Of course, the Turkey is flowing sooooo...  these discussion take some time and might be prone to occasional entertaining, digressions about... Well... lots of things.

Kings Of War: Old Man Morin's Orc Amy: Part 4 (Welcome To Troll Country!)

Welcome back gang,

I am back with a fourth BIG instalment in my series detailing how I created my heavily converted Orc and Goblin army and how I will be turning this project into my first Kings Of War army. Today I will be talking about the largest and most noticeable part of my army to date. The Trolls!!!

As you can probably recall from article two and three, I used a handful of GW orc and goblin heads, a few armatures and a ton of green stuff to sculpt up a unique looking army. As much as I was now proud of my accomplishments so far I was still using other people's bits and sculpting around them. It was time to go truly out on my own. Kings Of War: Old Man Morin's Orc Amy: Part 3 (Goblins And Using Allies In KoW)

Welcome back gang,

In the last couple of articles in this series I have detailed how I am transferring one of my favorite and craziest hobby projects over from Warhammer Fantasy Battle to Mantic's newest edition of Kings Of War.  Now this project started out as an Orc and Goblin army but in KoW these races have been split up into two distinctly different army lists, thank fully KoW has rules for allies.



Now version 2 of KoW is not commercially available (at the time of this writing) (ed note: you can find the core rules for V2 here and many starter army lists here) but copies are starting to trickle out to Kickstarter supporters and it appears that allies will be in the book. As orcs and goblins are both evil races and are both green skinned races, I don't think it will be a massive leap fluff wise to include units from one army into the other.

Kings Of War: Old Man Morin's Orc Amy: Part 1 (Sculpting An Army From Next To Nothing)

Hey Gang,

With the destruction of the Warhammer Fantasy World (and the Warhammer Fantasy Game for that matter), the fate of my most ambitious hobby project ever looked grim.  I had spent literally over 12 months sculpting, converting and mostly painting, a one of a kind, Orc and Goblin army for Warhammer Fantasy Battle.

I have always been a massive fan of the Chaos Dwarf army and its fluff and history.  Chaos Dwarves were infamous slavers who most commonly enslaved green skinned races for their own maligned purposes.  A Chaos Dwarf army would be supplemented by hobgoblin, orc and black orc troops.  The slave masters would throw their conscripted troops into their enemies without care as their magic and guns tore enemy troops and their slaves to pieces.

This got me thinking... What would happen if, Sparticus style, the slaves revolted and broke free?
