Hey guys, Anf here with a review of some great little tufts for basing your wargaming models and terrain, from a small Australian company called Leadbear's Tufts. A good base can really elevate a model from table-top standard to a work of art and so quality basing materials are a vital part to any good hobbyists kit. So without further ado, I will dive into my review of the trio of tuft sets I got from Leadbear's Tufts.
Leadbear's makes a range of tufts, from the common grass ones to their 'leafy tufts' that look like awesome small shrubs. They also do a variety called Crop Strips. Each pack comes in a nifty cardboard case that keeps them secure during shipping. You get a lot of product for your money too. The Leafy tufts came with 100 tufts and the Dark Green tufts had 140 pieces. The Crop Strips had 12 strips, each about 5 inches long.

Leadbear's tufts have an adhesive already applied, so you can simply remove them from the sheet and apply then directly to the base, and with some firm pressure they will adhere to most regular or irregular surfaces. This makes application super easy.
You can see here both the Leafy and Dark Green tufts. While the grass tufts are very much on par with the industry standard, their packaging, lay-out on the sheet and value for money means I will continue to buy my tufts from Leadbear's now. The Leafy tufts on the other hand, are quite unique as far as what I have seen from basing companies and make awesome little shrubs that really enhance my bases. I definitely give these a big 10 out of 10.
The Crop Strips are pretty cool and I have made one small field with them and plan to do a few more in the near future. All of these tufts are well made and hold together really well. You don't have to fear them falling apart within moments of game-play.
So overall, these tufts are great contenders for your basing needs. I am very pleased with the three types I got and look forward to getting some more.
