WWPD4Vets - March 30th, 2013
The WWPD4Vets Event will take place Saturday, March 30th, 2013.
Ok, WWPD Community -- it is time to show us all how pumped you are for this wonderful charity event! The Dudes at News from the Front would like to "prepare the battlefield" by getting a jump-start on our goal of $2,500.CONTEST: Between now and Monday, March 25th, 2013, a randomly selected person or group that donates at least $25 to the Wounded Warrior Project will get a special "Shout Out!" on the next episode of News from the Front. We'll allow a 30 second spot to be read by your choice of the Dudes. Donate HERE.
The Mission: Raise at least $2,500 for the Wounded Warrior Project and other world wide veterans organizations. Follow the WWPD Community as they participate in 24 hours of global game-playing with live updates via Twitter (#WWPD4Vets) and live video feeds at the WWPD4Vets site.

Give Cash! Head on over to the WWPD4Vets site and hit the DONATE button and select your charity. We suggest $1, $3 or $5 per hour of games played. Our goal is to reach $2,500 in cash donations to the Wounded Warrior Project. Other charities are an option for folks outside the US.
Clean Your Closet: Head on over to the WWPD4Vets and hit the DONATE button and select 'DONATE YOUR JUNK'. This will take you to a page with instructions on how to list your items on eBay and send the proceeds to the Wounded Warrior Project. After listing the item(s), please also post the listing in the WWPD Forums here. Please set your auctions to end on or before March 30th, 2013.
Buy Stuff: Please watch the WWPD Forums for things up for auction to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project here. The WWPD Staff has plans to list many items, including a set of the World Famous Lucage, a SAGA starter army and some Dirty Jon-style tanks.

To cover the 24 hours of gaming madness, we will have multiple global gaming locations:
US EAST COAST: Group Captain: Jon Baber. 12 hours of gaming at the Game Vault in Fredricksburg, Virginia, including Flames of War, Battlestar Galactica, X-Wing and more!! Sean and Steven will attempt to carry the 12 hour event to the full 24 hours by returning to the McGloucho-dome for more gaming goodness!

New Zealand: Group Captain: Mike Haught. WWPD Welcomes Battlefront Miniatures who are signing on for this charity event! The boys will be playing a ton of different games at Battlefront HQ! Schedule: 4am-4pm (Eastern Time) Live updates on the Battlefront Home Page !
US WEST COAST: Group Captain: Eric Riha. 24 hours of West Coast gaming madness!! Games will be scheduled and streamed from Casa de Riha in Sacramento, CA. Flames of War, Side Commentary, and Beer!
Frozen Waste: Group Captain: Craig Baxter. 12 hours of gaming at the WWPD top secret research facility (aka Craig's Dad's basement). We will start with light games (CY6, X-Wing etc) , move into a larger group game (FoW, BA) and wind down with board games (Descent/Sparticus). Schedule is forthcoming. We will be collecting donations during game play.
Also, Craig will be organizing the youth group he works with for a board game night at Holy Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church on Friday Night 3/29 and taking a suggested donation of $5 to play. All donations will go to Wounded Warrior Project.
WWPD South: Group Captain: Jeff Flint (Sonbae) 24 hours of gaming at The Foundry game store in Huntsville Alabama. All forms of gaming are welcome. Please drop by and see us! Flames of War and X wing will definitely hit the table as well as a host of other miniature and board games. Live tweets of the event! Donations at the door to participate.
UK: Group Captain: Mike Wood Location: North West Gaming Centre in Stockport, UK. There is a 40K event ("Apocalypse" Friday to Monday) , a Malifaux event (Sat-Sun) and a Flames of War 3 day event ("Trinity" Friday to Sun (EW,MW,LW). 9am local time until... Please drop by and see us!
