LIVE FROM HISTORICON 2011
FIRST: We always own up to errors. We have 2 corrections- #1 The Bismarck did not sink the Prince of Wales. It only damaged her. Blame Pete, he wrote the Historical Trivia (and did a fine job!). #2 The Monte Cassino Monastary was not painted by MG-42 proper, but rather by Jim Hofer- and a fine job he did!
SECOND: A deep thanks to my crew. Sean truly went above and beyond and was the boots on the ground for the entire convention. He organized the podcast setup, organized everything, and generally "got shit done" -per his committee title. He also had the distinct honor of sharing the Jungle Room with me. To quote Sherlock Holmes, "I would be lost without my Boswell". Secondly, huge thanks to Luke- we can all agree he is an amazing assett to the 'cast, and went above and beyond with preparation work. He is the Abbot to my Costello. Or is it the other way around? Thirdly, huge thanks to Pete! He helped us get everything set up, got the historical trivia set up, and was generally there for us when we needed him. He was also the bringer of beer, and that was hugely important. Thanks also to Matt Lehman- our first "Cadet" (Sorry Matt- we're working on the name… we're trying to assemble an army!) for his help. WWPD works like a well oiled machine, and it truly makes me proud that our team is composed of such fine gents.
THIRD: A huge thank you to all of the vendors, businesses, and interviewees. Donated prize support made up a huge chunk of our trivia prizes, and all 3 of the very awesome prizes were donated very very generously by MG42 Painting, Battlefront, and Jim Hofer. We hope the generosity of these guys and others (Falcon Figures, and Gamecraft Miniatures) encourages you to give these guys the business they deserve- we know you won't be disappointed!
LASTLY: But certainly not least importantly- thank you to everyone who showed up! Again, it's such an affirmation to have people show up, and most importantly- have fun! We are always working to improve, and we already have some big ideas to shake up the format and up the level of audience participation. It's all about you guys- without you we're just recording in the studio, and we need to really differentiate that! Again, thanks to everyone who showed up- too many names to list here but you know who you are!
Without further ado, here is the
