DEPLOYMENT AND PRELIMINARY BARRAGE
The view from the soviet side. The Axis powers started with all 3 pioneer platoons and the German 105s.
The "near" objective is in the top right wheat field just behind the trench line. The "far" objective is just in front of the 105s.

The IS-2s prepare to advance under the cover of a massive bombardment.
The Udarny strelkovy are ready to strike.
With mind-numbing fury the bombardment comes! The finn pioneers take heavy losses.
The 105s lose their staff team, commander, and 1 gun.
The German pioneers are relatively unscathed.
TURN ONE
With no real direct AT threats, the IS-2s all move at the double forward.
The Udarny move out to catch up.

TURN TWO
Platoon 3 crosses the mines, with tank 312 catching an AT mine and being knocked out!
The other IS-2s continue their advance.
Artillery rains down on the approaching armor, but does no damage.

TURN THREE
Platoon 1 assaults the observers in the tree-line. The platoon leader throws a track. The fearless tanks then fail motivation to counter and break off. The observers are unscathed. The remaining tank of platoon 1 sticks around.
The surviving tank of platoon 1 falls back to the mines.
The Udarny is hit by the 105s. No casualties, but they are pinned!

TURN FOUR
The IS-2s of Platoon 2 on the right crash into the finn lines!
But only kill a single team before losing one of their own and being forced to break off. Meanwhile Platoon 3 has begun to cross the mines, losing one tank in the process.
Tigers arrive!
105s again slam into the udarny (who, despite the urging of the C/O, failed to unpin).

TURN FIVE
Platoon 2 takes shots at the freshly arrived tigers. One tiger takes a penetrating hit, but I roll a 1- only bailing him! Platoon 3 slams into the finn lines.
Platoon 3 assaults!
With predictable results. The platoon commander is knocked out, and the remaining tank fails motivation.
The Finn pioneers are now feeling bold, and move to flank platoon 2!
The Tigers charge forward, bailing one of the 2 tanks left in platoon 2!
The Finns succeed in knocking out the platoon leader of platoon 2. The remaining tank falls back down the road!

TURN SIX
The Udarny move forward to protect the one remaining tank of platoon 2.
105s slam into them, pinning them down!
A single stuka arrives. The only stuka to arrive all game! Just one stuka knocks out the IS-2 Battalion Command, and bails the last tank of platoon 1.
Platoon 1 fails motivation as the Battalion Commander burns behind him.
With that, the Soviets are left with a battered Udarny and 1 IS-2 that can't move. The game is clearly lost. 6-1 to the finns!
