Firestorm Turn One Recap
Sean and I finished up our Firestorm Campaign's Turn One, but before we begin turn 2 we decided to recap the action.
Game 1: Guards Motorstrelkovy vs Finn Pioneers- Zhloben to Berezino
The Soviets launch the campaign with a succesful bid to cut off Bykov, Orsha, and Mogilev.

Game 2: Guards Motorstrelkovy vs Finn Pioneers- Lepel to Berezino
Sean launches an immediate counter attack to blunt the spearhead, but is unsuccesful. The Soviets take Lepel.

Game 3: Strelkovy vs Ersatz Pioneers- Borizov to Lepel
The Soviets win once more, driving deeper into enemy territory and capturing Borizov!

Game 4: Engineer Sappers vs SS Wiking Panzers
Sean is successful in recapturing Lepel- the scene of some of the bloodiest fighting.

Game 5: Guards Strelkovy vs SS Wiking Panzers
The Soviets become fixated on Lepel, and relieving their forces in Borizov who are cut off from supply. Their bid is successful and the supply lines are again open.

Game 6: Udarny Strelkovy vs SS Wiking Panzers
As the first turn winds down, Sean attacks from Smolevichi again to Lepel, trying to cut off the Soviet Spearhead that is very nearly in Minsk. Sean is successful, leaving the Borizov pocket again cut off!

The fighting stays focused in the North as the Soviets tighten the noose on the German Festerplatz, while driving towads Minsk. Several of the forward Soviet forces have driven beyond supply, however, making opening the rail lines increasingly more important.
