British Military Headquarters --- Tobruk
"Colonel Blatherington, sir....I hate to interrupt your Tea, but that SAS Captain is waiting outside and he says he has an update for you."
"Oh quite right ???....quite right. Thank you Smithers. Do show the Captain in now, there's a good lad."
Captain Blythe-Smith of the SAS enters the tent and spots Colonel Blatherington sitting at a field desk with a tea set and some biscuits spread out on the lid of tin. "Sir! You shouldn't have! A cuppa is just what I need after that trek I tell you."
Captain Blythe-Smith stamps his feet and sand and dust fall from his clothes as he walks towards Colonel Blatherington and the tea set.
"Hmm? What? Cheeky lad...but of course come on over...just be careful not to make the tent look like a Khamsin just hit as you walk over. What do you have for me?
"You're not going to like it, sir...the enemy position has strengthened. I have some new photos of these additional troops. They have support weapons now...a mortar and a Tripod mounted MG42..as well as a handful of troops to support those weapons. First the aerial shots...."
"Now a few...um...let's say more up close shots."
"Egad, Johnnie...not what I was wanting to hear."
"Then you're REALLY not going to like this sir....this chap here..." as he shuffles through the photos and points to a single German soldier with a set of binoculars...
"...see his red shoulder boards? They have an artillery observer with them now."
"Hmmmm....You're right Johnnie..I do not like that at all. What else do you have for me?"
"All of them are Rommel's boys all right. We think they are all Grenadiers from the 15th Panzer Division."
"Just HOW do you get this info and these close-ups...no no...don't tell me, I'm sure it something unsavory no doubt...best kept as a secret. Wot?"
"That it is sir. What now, if I may ask?"
"That's the easiest question I have had all day...smith-ERS!!!"
Smithers enters the tent "Sir?"
"Gather the command and staff...we have to get a patrol ready to go have a little meeting with these blokes and welcome them to the neighborhood. Let the staff know that I will want progress updates as they gather the force and conduct their the pre-raid rehearsals. I want to be ready to go in 3 days...off you go...there's a good lad."
