"Sir!....We have the photos from the aerial recon to the West. We found a small patrol of Jerries."
"Good Show Smithers! Bring those SAS chaps in here please...I want to get some closer intelligence on these blokes. They look leaderless and could be ripe as a target of a raid."
Captain Blythe-Smythe of the SAS enters the Operations tent....He snaps to attention and gives a crisp salute and stamps his right foot at the same time..."SIR! Reporting as ordered SIR!" And then he cracks a sly smile.
"Enough of that old chap...I need you to send a patrol out to this location and take some more snaps of these chaps" as he points to the aerial photos.
"Shouldn't be a problem at all sir...will have a half patrol head out there tonight and have some pictures for you in the morning.."
TIME MARCHES ON.......
Just after sun up the next day, Captain Blythe-Smythe enters the operations with a stack of photos...
"Colonel Blatherington...The boys return with some lovely snapshots of the Jerries."
"Were your men spotted?"
"Sir,... please...."
"Of course...of course...my....my...OH MYMYMY....these are quite good and telling. They appear to be without any heavy weapons and no senior leadership either."
"True sir,...just a few teams with MG42s....no Tripods, true...but still..."
"Lets keep an eye on these chaps Captain...see what develops. I have a feeling we will have to build a force in time to meet these blokes....I just have that feeling..."
